CAIRO- Egyptian Emigration Minister Soha Gendi said the Egyptian embassy is following up means of bringing back home the bodies of an Egyptian couple who died in Turkiye on Tuesday over the earthquake.
Speaking to the CBC over the phone on Wednesday, she stressed all Egyptian students in tremor-hit areas are fine.
She said the ministry is closely following up with the Egyptian ambassadors in Turkey and Syria the latest developments to ensure the safety of Egyptians abroad.
She noted that the Ministry of Emigration Dialogue Centre for Egyptians Studying Abroad (MEDCE) managed to collect data of the largest number of Egyptian students abroad and held zoom meetings with those in earthquake-hit areas.
