GAZA CITY – Medical teams in the Gaza Strip continue to work under extremely difficult conditions due to a severe shortage of medical equipment, medications and blood supplies, amid the ongoing blockade imposed on the enclave.
According to Al Arabiya Al Hadath News Channel, Nabil Nabhan, an anesthesiologist and intensive care physician at Al-Saraya Field Hospital said the medical staff are working with extremely limited equipment that cannot stop the bleeding of hundreds of wounded individuals.
Nabhan emphasized the urgent and immediate need for medical devices and supplies to help save lives.
He further said, medical staff are operating without access to food.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Abu Ali, Director of the laboratory of the field hospital affiliated to Palestinian Red Crescent, highlighted a dramatic decline in blood donations due to widespread hunger across the Gaza Strip.
