CAIRO – CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Mohamed Abdel Wahab said on Monday Egypt enjoys special relations with the UAE at all levels, pointing to the importance of the UAE investments in Egypt.
In a meeting with UAE Ambassador in Cairo Mariam al-Kaabi, Abdel Wahab tackled ways of luring more UAE companies to invest in Egypt, referring to the successful visits he paid to the UAE in 2021.
The GAFI CEO noted the UAE investments in Egypt diversify among sectors of construction, financial services, communications and information technology, real estate development, and industry.
The authority is keen on encouraging UAE businessmen to pump more investments in the industrial and agricultural sectors and organizing more events to show the investment opportunities here.
Meanwhile, Kaabi hailed the effective role played by GAFI in facilitating the missions of the UAE companies operating in Egypt.
