The Decent Life Foundation and the Supreme Council of University Hospitals signed a co-operation protocol on help for deprived rural communities.
This comes in line with directives from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to strengthen social protection through the presidential rural development initiatives, ‘Decent Life’.
The initiative also seeks to limit the negative effects of coronavirus on living standards for families in need.
Secretary of the Supreme Council of University Hospitals Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar and Director of the Medical Sector at the foundation Dr. Nada Al-Damiati signed the protocol, which stipulates the provision of healthcare services free of charge and ensure medical education for the public.
The Supreme Council will receive and treat cases referred by the Decent Life Foundation.
The protocol is one of a series of partnerships that the Decent Life Foundation seeks to conclude with ministries and civil society institutions.
The initiative aims at the improvement of living standards according to the ‘poverty map’ issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics.
