The wounded, whose health conditions are stable, were rushed to two hospitals in the city.
Rescuers are still continuing their efforts to search for possible victims under the rubble.
Civil defense forces and ambulances rushed to the scene while security forces sealed off the area to prevent people from reaching the scene.
Minister of Health Khaled Abdel Ghafar on Monday ordered all hospitals in Alexandria to be on high later to receive the victims of the collapsed building in Alexandria’s Miami district.
Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghafar said the ministry ordered 12 ambulances to move to the collapse scene to carry the victims to hospitals.
Ambulance teams are ready at the site to deal with any injuries and assess the casualties.
