CAIRO – Egyptian Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad on Thursday discussed with the deputy director of the European Investment Bank concerned with climate and his accompanying delegation ways of boosting joint co-operation as part of Egypt’s hosting of the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP27) to the UN Framework Climate Change Convention (UNFCCC).

Fouad tackled the latest developments of Egypt’s efforts in climate file including finalising the 2050 National Strategy for Climate Change as a long-running comprehensive strategy.
The strategy reflects Egypt’s vision in climate file and national goals in adaptation, financing, climate governance, IT, scientific research and sustainable development, in addition to social aspects of climate change impacts, according to her.
