Egypt’s Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad held an expanded meeting with the mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for Resilience and Sustainability at the ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) on Saturday.
The meeting aimed at kick-starting discussions on Egypt’s reception of 1.200 billion dollars for environment as part of an IMF’s support package.
The meeting also discussed mechanisms for future cooperation in supporting environmental and climate policies.
Fouad asserted the meeting is held in completion of bilateral meetings with the fund to probe cooperation in promoting environment and climate policies in Egypt as part of its plans to attain transition to green and sustainability.
