Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad asserted her ministry is aiming to create more promising investment opportunities in the waste management sector in partnership with the private sector, civil society and entrepreneurs.
Given efforts are focused on promoting environment and climate investment chances in general, in addition to the establishment of a new environment and climate investment unit under the umbrella of the ministry, she added while reviewing Saturday a report on the latest developments of the role of the ministry in implementing the municipal solid waste management system.
The newly-constructed unit will explore the promising investment chances and promote channels of communication among finance institutions, the private sector and entrepreneurs, said the minister.
