Spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said on Sunday the World Arabic Language Day, that falls today, is a watershed date for the transition of Arabic Language from being a regional language to an international one.
“The Arabic Language..our identity..the preserver of our heritage… and the carrier of our civilization.. we today mark the World Arabic Language Day which is considered a watershed date for the transition of our language from being a regional language into an international as considered one of the official languages of the United Nations in recognition of its contribution to human civilization,” the spokesman tweeted.
