Egypt’s food industries exports have achieved notable growth during the first four months of the year, and hit $2.432 billion compared to $2.272 billion in the same period of 2025, marking a rise of 7.1 per cent, the Cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Centre revealed on Thursday.
The performance reflects the government’s efforts to boost the sector’s competitiveness and expand the global reach of Egyptian products, positioning food industries as a vital contributor to the national economy.
Monthly figures showed steady progress, $536 million in January, $586 million in February, $616 million in March, them a peak of $694 million in April, the highest monthly export value during the period.
The centre emphasised that these results highlight the success of policies aimed at strengthening the sector and enhancing its ability to compete internationally.
