In a press conference with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan in Ankara, Abdelatty said his talks with the Turkish foreign minister tackled regional and international issues of mutual concern topped developments in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Jerusalem as well as the ceasefire reached recently between Hamas and Israel.

He called for fully implementing the three-phase ceasefire and the exchange of prisoners according to the deal which was brokered through efforts exerted by Egypt, Qatar and the United States.

The foreign minister called for ending Israel’s unilateral measures in the Palestinian territories including, settlement activities and incursions on holy places in Al Quds.

He expressed happiness at visiting Turkey and his meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyeb Erdogan this evening.

The foreign minister said his visit to Ankara coincides with the 100th anniversary of establishing Egyptian- Turkish relations.
