Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdel-Aati held a phone chat with Senior Adviser to the US President for Arab and African AffairsMassad Boulos on Thursday.
Both sides praised the depth of the strategic partnership and agreed to continue strengthening cooperation across variousfields to support regional stability.
Minister Abdel-Aati emphasised Egypt’s position favoring de-escalation and diplomacy amid ongoing military tensions in the region, warning that continued escalation threatens regional and global security. He also highlighted Egypt’s efforts to calm the situation and end the war.
Meanwhile, Minister Abdel-Aati underscored the need to preserve unity and territorial integrity of Sudan, support national institutions, and reject parallel entities. He called for a Sudanese-owned political process, a humanitarian truce as a step towards a lasting ceasefire, and full protection of civilians and infrastructure. He condemned violations against civilians as breaches of international humanitarian law.
