CAIRO – Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will leave for Addis Ababa on Friday to attend the 35th African Union Summit.
The two-day summit is due to kick off on Saturday.
In statements, Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Hafez said that the foreign minister is scheduled to meet with his African counterparts on the sidelines of his participation in the summit.
They are set to discuss means of promoting bilateral ties and exchanging viewpoints on issues of common interest, the spokesman added.
The 35th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the AU is held under the theme “Building Resilience in Nutrition and Food Security on the African Continent: Strengthen Agriculture, Accelerate the Human Capital, Social and Economic Development.”
