Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty asserted that the visit of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Madrid included several important events that reflected the amicable ties binding Egypt and Spain.

In statements to Egypt’s Extra News satellite channel on Thursday, Abdelatty pointed out that the recent ten years witnessed a quantum leap in the relations between Egypt and Spain, especially at the political, economic, trade and investment levels.

Sisi’s visit came at delicate stage in light of regional turmoil, disputes and crises, he said.

During the visit, Sisi presented a comprehensive Egyptian vision on the situation in the Gaza Strip and the reconstruction of the enclave without getting the Palestinians out of their territories, Abdelatty said.

Meanwhile, he noted that the talks in Madrid tackled also the conditions in Libya, Sudan, Syria, Lebanon, the Horn of Africa as well as navigation security in the Red Sea and Bab Mandeb Stait.
