CAIRO – Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said Sunday that Egypt is willing to share its expertise in fighting terrorism with Mali.
Speaking in a joint press conference with his visiting Malian counterpart Abdoulaye Diop earlier today, Abdelatty said that Egypt’s success story is seen as a model to follow in terms of eliminating terrorism, whether through security, social or economic prospects.
He talked about creating jobs for youth, dismantling extremist ideologies with the help of religious institutions that protected youth against recruitment by terrorist groups, and stopping supplies to terror organizations.
Abdelatty touched upon full co-operation between the foreign and defense ministries here and in Mali to help the African country fight terrorism.
