Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Co-operation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty participated in the second Italy-Africa Summit at the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Abdelatty outlined Egypt’s vision for strengthening the strategic partnership between the African continent and Italy in a manner that advances sustainable development and reinforces stability across Africa.
Abdelatty conveyed the greetings of president Sisi to the participants, emphasizing that convening the summit reflects the importance of establishing a sustainable institutional framework for Africa–Italy relations based on regular dialogue, long-term planning and a balanced approach to shared challenges.
He stressed the need to translate political commitments into bankable, implementable projects and practical programs with tangible impact.
He expressed Egypt’s aspiration to enhance trilateral cooperation among Egypt, Italy and other African countries, particularly in continental interconnection, clean energy, green transition, food security and human capacity development, in alignment with the African Union’s Agenda 2063 objectives.
