Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Tuesday reiterated Egypt’s support and solidarity with Morocco over the powerful earthquake that left thousands of people dead and injured.
The top Egyptian diplomat made the remarks during a phone call with Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Co-operation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita.
During the call, Shoukry extended Egypt’s sincere condolences to the leadership of Morocco and its people over the devastating earthquake that hit some Moroccan cities, according to Foreign Ministers Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zied.
Meanwhile, the Moroccan minister conveyed deep appreciation of Moroccan King Mohammed VI for president Sisi’s support and solidarity with Morocco as well as declaring three days of mourning.
