Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty led Egypt’s delegation to the opening session of the 46th ordinary meeting of the Executive Council of the African Union (AU), currently in session in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The meeting falls within preparations for the 38th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the AU, set for February 15-16.
The opening session was attended by Chairman of the AU Commission Moussa Fakih, Head of the AU’s Executive Council and Mauritania’s Foreign Minister Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, as well as the foreign ministers of member states and senior AU officials and members of the AU secretariat.
