A blood donation campaign was held at Egypt’s Foreign Ministry headquarters on Thursday in support of the ‘Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357 .
The initiative was launched by Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aati, in the presence of the hospital’s executive director, Sherif Abou El Naga. It aims at boosting efforts to provide free, advanced treatment for children battling cancer.
Abdel-Aati praised the hospital’s comprehensive medical services and the high standard of care offered to young patients.
He commended the dedication of the hospital’s management, medical staff, and volunteers, noting their role in delivering world-class treatment, free of charge.
The minister described 57357 as a humanitarian landmark and a unique model of civil society engagement, highlighting its position as one of the largest pediatric cancer hospitals worldwide.
He emphasised that the hospital’s achievements are a source of national pride and a testament to the strength and solidarity of Egyptian society.
Abdel-Aati underscored that the right to health is a shared responsibility between the state and the community, and that the hospital’s success reflects the transformative impact of collective action in advancing development.
