Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry left N’Djamena on Tuesday morning for Juba, South Sudan’s capital, to deliver President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s message to South Sudan President Salva Kiir.
Shoukry’s flight to South Sudan follows wrapping up his visit to the Chadian capital, N’Djamena, where he delivered president Sisi’s message to his counterpart Mahamat Idriss Deby on Monday.
“The foreign minister is leaving the Chadian capital, N’Djamena, to South Sudan’s Juba. He is carrying a message form president Sisi to his South Sudanese counterpart Salva Kiir Mayardit on the situation in Sudan,” wrote Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid on his Twitter account.
