Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty asserted on Saturday that France plays a pivotal role in achieving stability in the region.
Egypt and France have a big responsibility for promoting joint coordination to ease tension in the region, Abdelatty added at a joint press conference with his French counterpart Stéphane Séjourné.
He said “I welcome the visit of minister Séjourné to Egypt and appreciate France’s active role at a critical juncture in the Middle East region.”
The foreign minister further pointed out that the promotion of strategic partnership between Egypt and France is considered a key priority to Egypt.
He added President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a fruitful meeting with the French minister in which they tackled all vistas of bilateral cooperation and strategic and friendly ties, in addition to focusing on a number of regional issues, topped by the current crisis in the Gaza Strip.
