Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty on Tuesday said Egypt is looking forward to luring more US direct investments in light of the promising opportunities in the Egyptian markets.
The minister underlined the need to develop a national strategy for better industrial development and increase production, noting that the government is willing to establish broader cooperation with international and US companies to attract more investments.
This came during Abdelatty’s participation in an event of the US chamber of commerce, on the sidelines of the high-level segment of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The minister lauded the great growth of bilateral ties between Egypt and the US, highlighting the hosting of the strategic dialogue meetings between the two countries in Cairo last week.
Abdelatty also reviewed procedures and steps recently taken by the state to remove obstacles standing in the path of investors and guarantee a favorable investment climate in Egypt.
