Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Badr Abdelattey said discussions he held Monday with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov reflected great interest on the part of the two sides in strengthening and promoting ties during the upcoming period.
At a joint press conference, the Egyptian foreign minister voiced happiness over talks he held with the Russian foreign minister, as they discussed a number of topics and issues of joint interest, including ways to further promote historical bilateral relations, political consultations and up commercial and economic exchange between the two sides.
He added that discussions witnessed extensive about a number of giant strategic projects being implemented as part of an Egyptian cooperation strategy with Russia, topped by the the nuclear power plant project in Dabaa and also the Russian industrial zone in the Suez Canal economic zone (SCZONE).
