Egypt’s Foreign Minister and Minister of International Cooperation, Badr Abdel-Aati, held phone calls on Monday with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, and Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency. The consultations came amid heightened regional developments following U.S.–Iran negotiations in Islamabad on April 11.
The discussions centered on the rapid pace of regional developments and the urgent need to prioritize dialogue to reduce tensions. The officials stressed the importance of intensifying diplomatic efforts to overcome the current crisis and safeguard regional security and stability.
All parties agreed to maintain close coordination in the coming period, underscoring joint efforts to promote calm and support stability across the region. The calls highlight Egypt’s active role in fostering regional dialogue and consensus-building at a time of escalating challenges.
