CAIRO – Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty emphasised the utmost keenness of Egypt on fostering bilateral co-operation with Djibouti on all fronts.
The foreign minister’s remarks came at a meeting with his Djiboutian counterpart Mahamoud Ali Youssouf on the sidelines of the preparatory ministerial meeting for the extraordinary joint Arab-Islamic summit, that will be held in the Saudi capital Riyadh.
Abdelatty underscored the importance of intensifying joint efforts to promote economic and political cooperation.
Both ministers agreed on further deepening co-operation relations between the two countries, with special focus on the economic, trade and logistics fields.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in the regional arena, particularly the situation in the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea.
The two ministers also stressed the necessity of respecting the sovereignty of countries.
