CAIRO – Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty asserted that the arrogance and illusions of power will never achieve peace and security to any country or the region in general.
The sole way to attain peace is to help the Palestinian people get their complete and legitimate rights, topped by the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, he added while participating in the preparatory ministerial meeting of the extraordinary joint Arab-Islamic summit, slated for Monday in the Saudi capital Riyadh.
The foreign minister condemned Israel’s never-ceasing aggression on Gaza amid an unacceptable, international silence and the continuation of attacks on the West Bank and al-Quds.
He underscored the necessity of immediately halting the aggression.
Abdelatty tackled the Egyptian efforts to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and ensure a full and unconditional delivery of assistance into the coastal enclave.
He condemned Israeli measures against UNRWA and assaults on UNIFIL forces.
Abdelatty also denounced the aggression on Lebanon.
