First session of National Dialogue kicks off 1 - Egyptian Gazette

The first session of Egypt’s National Dialogue committees kicked off in Cairo on Sunday, focusing on issues of the political track, including the House of Representatives, discrimination and cooperatives in Egypt.

According to the dialogue’s agenda, four sessions dedicated to the political track will be held on Sunday.

The political track includes five sub committees; the exercise of political rights and parliamentary representation, human rights and public freedoms, municipals, political parties and unions and non-governmnental society.

Tuesday will be devoted to the economic track and Thursday to the social track.

On Tuesday, there will be four sessions to discuss the economic track, including two sessions that will focus on social protection programs and the new developments and challenges facing the Egyptian economy as listed on the agenda of the Committee on Social Justice.

The other two sessions will focus on discussing tourism in Egypt, including ways to attract more visitors and encourage tourism investments, as listed on the agenda of the Committee on Tourism.

On Thursday, there will be four sessions to discuss social issues, including two sessions discussing guardianship and trusteeship of money as listed on the agenda of the Committee on Family and Social Cohesion.

The other two sessions will focus on discussing issues related to national identity listed on the Committee on Culture and National Identity agenda.

The National Dialogue is initiated by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi last year the involvement of various political forces.
