First Lady Entisar El Sisi on Friday highlighted continuous efforts by state institutions to offer care to the elderly.
She especially referred to these efforts on the occasion of the International Day for Older Persons, observed around the world on October 1 every year.
“We take the chance of the International Day for Older Persons to express appreciation for past generations who gave us a lot and for their contributions to the development of our country,” the First Lady said.
“We emphasise the state’s continued interest in providing all care and support to older persons,” she wrote on Twitter.
The theme for this year’s International Day for Older Persons ‘Digital Equality for All Ages’, which affirms the need for access and meaningful participation in the digital world by older persons.
