Egyptian Minister of Finance Mohamed Maeet said on Monday the state does not spare efforts to support junior handcrafters through promoting their products.

The minister’s statements came during a reception given for the participants of “Diyarna” (our home) exhibition for handcrafts in co-operation with the Ministry of Social Solidarity.

For his part, deputy finance minister for treasury affairs Ihab Abu Eish said the 60-year old exhibition offers support in the handcraft and heritage domains and backs the owners of micro and small enterprises to showcase their products.

Minister of Social Solidarity Neven El Kabbaj said recently “Diyarna” exhibition is an important opportunity for the promotion of Egyptian and Arab traditional and handmade products as well as the exchange of expertise among the Arab states in this field, noting that creative economy is a very promising economic sector as the World Bank is expecting its growth by 10 per cent annually.
