CAIRO – Egyptian Finance Minister Mohamed Maeet said Monday that the government would extend tax-free car imports for more Egyptian expats to benefit from the initiative.
Three extra months will be given to allow Egyptians abroad to make use of eased measures ensured by the initiative, whose second phase witnessed a progressing turnout that doubled more than three times during the first two months of registration.
Recent legislative amendments include reducing the customs tax by 70 per cent, and it applies retroactively to the beneficiaries of the initiative in countries outside the trade agreements.
