There are presidential directives to accelerate the good governonace national project to modernise the customs administration system with the aim of tuning Egypt into a developed international logistics zone, said Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait on Wednesday.
In conference on the new Advance Cargo Information (ACI) system in Egypt organised by the Customs Authority, the minister said turning Egypt into a developed logistic zone would magnify benefit from Egypt’s distinguished geographic location and facilitate internal and foreign trade.
The conference was attended by commercial attaches of a number of foreign embassies in Egypt and representatives of the international trade trade chambers.
The minister reaffirmed the keenness of the political leadership on encouraging and facilitating procedures related to investment.
