CAIRO – Presidential directives were issued to swiftly end tax disputes away from courts to encourage local and foreign investors to invest in Egypt and expand their activities, said Minister of Finance Mohamed Maeet Monday.
After a meeting with Omani Ambassador in Cairo Abdallah Al Rahby, the minister said that encouraging investments is part of achieving sustainable development goals, improving the living conditions of citizens and offering good services for them.
He said that his ministry succeeded during a joint meeting with representatives of Petrogas Oman company in the presence of the Omani ambassador to end the tax dispute on the activities of the company in Egypt after the company presented documents and legal procedures to end the tax dispute.
Maeet said that his ministry made major progresses in the fields of digitizing tax procedures to lure more investors to the country.
