Egypt’s Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk affirmed on Tuesday that co-operation with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) opens new horizons of investment opportunities in Egypt.
“We look forward to developing Emirati investments in various sectors in Egypt”, he stated.
Kouchouk added during a meeting with Maryam Khalifa Al Kaabi, Ambassador of the UAE in Cairo, that UAE is Egypt’s top investment partner, hailing long-standing official, governmental, and private sector cooperation between the two sides.
The minister reaffirmed commitment to boosting bilateral co-operation between the two countries and exchanging experience in financial and economic fields in a way that serves both nations’ interests.
He added the two sides are enhancing business environment to attract private sector investments, achieve government goals, ensure economic stability, drive sustainable growth, improve citizen’s livelihoods and create more job opportunities.
The minister also also hailed efforts to make tax policies more transparent, along with improving relations with the business community to sustain investment flows.
The ambassador Al Kaabi, for her part, praised the distinguished relations between the two countries, highlighting their drive towards establishing new investment projects using various financing tools.
She noted that Egypt possesses the potentials that enable it to become a commercial and industrial hub meeting the needs of both African and European markets.
