Egypt’s Finance Minister Mohamed Maait said Egypt is dealing with the compound global crises with a package of integrated economic measures to support the Egyptian economy and incentivize investment, production and exportation to realize the optimal use of state resources and infrastructure.

These measures are taken while committing to the balanced financial policies with an aim to realize initial surplus and getting deficit rates and GDP debts on the down curve.

He made the remarks on Saturday during a meeting with UAE Minister of State for Financial Affairs Mohamed Hadi Al Hussaini on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the Islamic Development Bank under the theme of “Partnerships to Fend off Crises.”

Maait underlined the government’s support for economic activities and social strata that are most affected by the harsh inflation wave.

He added that the Egyptian economy lured large foreign investments in the first half of the fiscal year.

He expounded that the measures and reforms adopted by the government to empower the local and foreign private sector contributes to swift return of the Egyptian economy to strong and sustainable growth.
