CAIRO – Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk stresses importance of opening new export markets for the Egyptian products, saying that the shift of several importers into manufacturers, producers, and exporters demonstrates the private sector’s ability to evolve and drive economic growth.

He added “We are deeply committed to the development of the industrial sector and opening new export markets for Egyptian products.”

This came during a field tour by the minister at the Food Africa 2025 exhibition.

Kouchouk added “I am extremely pleased with the remarkable models of successful investment projects in the agricultural products and food industries sectors.”

In a friendly dialogue with investors and exporters, Kouchouk explained, “I have a keen interest in exploring the outstanding Egyptian experiences of our investor partners in production and export sectors.”

The minister said he is ready for extended dialogue with the business community partners and quick action to stimulate production and exports.

“We are also enthusiastic about cooperating with young entrepreneurs and supporting them in every possible way to help them grow, expand, and export abroad,” he said.

“We also have strong initiatives to support productive and export sectors, and we are open to any ideas that enhance the competitiveness of our economy,” he further noted.

Exhibitors expressed their appreciation for the Finance Minister, saying “We are capable of competing, expanding, and growing, and we look forward to more support and encouragement.”

For her part, Dalia Qabil, CEO of “Concept,” stressed the importance of exhibitions in marketing the development and excellence of Egyptian products, including food industries and agricultural products, targeting new export markets.

She added that the minister’s visit sends a message of support and encouragement from the government to manufacturers, producers, and exporters.

She noted that several importers had transitioned into producers and exporters, which reflects Egypt’s competitive capabilities in production and exports.

General Manager of “Concept” Tamer Safwat said that Egypt is regaining its leading position on the global exhibition map.

He stressed that agricultural products, including citrus fruits, vegetables, and fruits, as well as food industries, have significant competitive advantages in various international markets.

He also highlighted Egypt’s excellence in packaging, a challenge the country had previously faced.

The Food Africa exhibition is one of the largest specialized fairs in food industries and agricultural products.

It features more than 1,200 Egyptian and international companies, including global companies operating in the Egyptian market and producing a wide range of food products, a significant portion of which is exported to international markets.
