CAIRO – Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk said on Sunday Egypt hopes constructive and positive talks will be held during the visit of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission as part of preparations for the fourth review of Egypt’s economic program.
The minister made the remarks at the end of his participation in the annual meetings of the fund and the World Bank.
He hopes coordination between Egypt and international institutions will continue within the coming period in a way that ensures continuation of efforts to improve climate investment and put into effect tax facilities package.
During his stay in Washington, Kouchouk held a series of meetings with his counterparts in some countries on promoting economic and financial relations.
He also attended the ministerial meetings of the Mideast and Africa region with executive director of the IMF.
He also took part in meetings organized by major international investment banks.
During the meetings, the minister outlined structural and economic reforms conducted by Egypt to provide an investment-magnet environment while taking into consideration social dimension amid expectations of improvement in economic growth rates.
