Egypt’s Finance Minister Mohamed Maait said Egypt is gaining the fruits of the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) by luring more green investments.
In a statement on Sunday, he lauded the professional organization of the COP27 summit.
He referred to the efforts exerted by the Customs Authority during the COP27, especially the green customs area at the Sharm El Sheikh International Airport.
He reviewed the customs performance, giving directives to facilitate clearance of imports and alleviate burdens on investors and importers in light of the current international economic crunch.
Meanwhile, Customs Authority Chairman Shahat Ghatouri said the simplified customs measures guide endorsed by the finance minister contributed to facilitating clearance measures during the COP27.
The guide – in Arabic and English languages – was published on the electronic websites of COP27, the Finance Ministry and other relevant bodies, he added.
