US Ambassador to Egypt Herro Mustafa Garg said that the US cooperates via US Agency for International Development (USAID) with the General Organization for Export and Import Control (GOEIC) to get the accreditation of Gulf Standards Organization Countries (GSO) to export Egyptian home electric appliances to the Gulf states within the framework of contributing to boosting the field of trade in Egypt.
This came in Grag’s speech during the first annual forum to boost exports held under the rubric of “developing concepts to launch export potential” on Tuesday, organized by the USAID in cooperation with the GOEIC.
The forum is a chance to open export potential in Egypt and create a commercial environment that is more creative and comprehensive, Grag said.
Grag asserted that tangible steps can be taken to reach to the markets and encourage trade and exports via joint cooperation among governmental institutions, the private sector and development agencies.
