President of Estonia Alar Karis asserted relations between Egypt and Estonia are seeing a big momentum in different fields.
He voiced happiness with this important visit to Egypt and underscored the importance of fruitful discussions he had held with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Wednesday on the necessity of fostering this cooperation.
The Estonian president’s remarks came during a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli at the cabinet’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) on Thursday to discuss a number of issues and files of joint interest.
Karis said his visit aimed at establishing partnerships with the Egyptian side, adding that his country is looking forward to enhancing cooperation with Egypt in IT and tourism fields.
Madbouli emphasized strong desire to scale up trade exchange rates between Egypt and Estonia.
He added Egypt is paying a greater attention to boosting partnership with Estonia in digital transition, cyber security and artificial intelligence.
He lauded tourism cooperation between the two countries, hoping of more Estonian tourist arrivals to Egypt within the coming period.
The pair expounded negative repercussions of current wars and crises, especially the Israeli war on Gaza and Lebanon, saying the entire world paid dearly for these conflicts that forced many people to flee to neighboring countries, placing burdens on budget of these host countries.
Madbouli referred to declining revenues of Suez Canal, hoping Europe would continue support of Egypt to be able to face these challenges.
