CAIRO – The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) announced Sunday 36th Zad al-Izza.. from Egypt to Gaza convoy began entering the Gaza Strip for the Palestinian people.
The convoy consists of approximately 165 trucks carrying urgent humanitarian aid for Gazans.
The convoy is heading towards the southern part of the Strip from a secondary gate of the Rafah land port in North Sinai, en route to the Karam Abu Salem crossing, southeast of the Strip.
There, the trucks undergo inspection by Israeli occupation forces before they can enter Gaza.
This is part of the ERC’s continuous efforts as a national mechanism for coordinating aid to Gaza.
In a statement, the ERCsaid the convoy carried more than 3,200 tons of humanitarian aid.
The aid includes over 1,840 tonnes of food baskets and flour, and more than 1,365 tons of medical and relief supplies, reinforcing Egyptian efforts to provide basic necessities of food, medicine, and fuel to the people of Gaza.
The ERC has been present at the border as a national mechanism for coordinating and dispatching aid to Gaza since the beginning of the crisis.
