Egyptian Minister of Environment Yasmin Fouad said Wednesday that the Egyptian government is open to co-operation with all partners including the private sector to achieve sustainable development and partnership with all parties for a better future to new generations.
During a meeting of the American Chamber of Commerce to review Egypt’s vision on green growth in co-operation with the private sector, the minister said the government started to depend on the green economy to face environment challenges.
The minister reviewed environment sectors with top priorities including investment in the environment tourism sector and the management of natural reserves through allowing the private sector to offer services for the reserves.
On wastes, the minister said her ministry has a vision to deal the agricultural and animal wastes as part of presidential initiative “Decent Life” to develop rural areas.
