Egyptian Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad asserted the importance of boosting green industry and reducing pollution rates along with facing the bad impacts of climate change.
The minister also stressed the need of abiding by international obligations and keenness on promoting industrial projects to export Egyptian industries to global markets.
Fouad’s remarks came while participating in the inauguration of a conference, entitled “Industry and environment for green development,” which is organised by the ministry in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) on Monday.
Minister of Planning and Economic Development and International Co-operation Rania al-Mashaat attended the conference.
Fouad said her ministry acts to implement directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi about building human being through the introduction of green technology mechanisms, in addition to the provision of job opportunities.
Mashat confirmed the deep and strong relations between industrial development and human development.
