CAIRO – Egyptian Environment Minister Yasmin Fouad lauded the role of Egyptian women in supporting environmental work especially at the international level.
She pointed out to Egypt’s presidency of COP14 in 2018 and COP27 in 2022, adding that women in particular are part of the struggle against the impact of climate change.
Fouad’s remarks came during a ceremony where she was honoured with the Champions of Change Award for her distinguished contribution as a women’s example in the development of the state, a statement of the Ministry of Environment said.
Fouad expressed happiness for being honored in appreciation of the efforts of the Egyptian women in construction and development.
