Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad underlined the depth of cooperation with Germany. She made the remarks on Wednesday during a meeting with German Ambassador in Cairo Frank Hartmann.

The talks tackled bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy and waste management as well as preparations for the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) in Sharm El Sheikh.

For his part, the ambassador congratulated Egypt for presidency of COP27, lauding the strenuous efforts exerted by Egypt vis-a-vis climate change file.

Fouad received an invitation for participating in several climate change events in Germany, including UNIC security conference in February.
