CAIRO – Egyptian Environment Minister Yasmin Fouad said that there is co-operation between the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Education to introduce environmental concepts to the educational curricula to create a generation aware with the importance of maintaining the environment.

This came on Monday during Fouad’s reception of a delegation of students and teachers of Nile Egyptian School to discuss the student awareness of the environmental issues and positive practices related to the environment whether inside or outside the school.

During the meeting, the students reviewed the different activities to maintain the environment including planting trees and using wastes gathered in the school in doing artifacts or other activities.

Fouad addressed the students on the different fields where the ministry works in including afforestation of streets and squares and working on the quality of air in addition to combating the black cloud to limit air pollution.

The minister urged increasing the awareness seminars for students to raise their awareness on the different environmental issues via holding workshops to train them to use the wastes in works of art.

Fouad lauded the ideas of the students to maintain the environment and encourage their mates on positive environmental practices.
