The New Cairo Educational Directorate hosted the annual get-together of English language teachers and mentors in the administration, to exchange experiences and prepare for mid-year exams in the English language.
The forum was headed by Ayman Moussa, director of the administration, and was held in response to directives from Heba Ismail, deputy director of the administration.
The event was held in coordination with the English Language Department in Farabi Language school, led by Iman Daas, the first guide, under the leadership of Saleh Hegazy, chairman of the Board of Directors and Advisor to the Educational Administration.
The forum was attended by Dr Samir Hawana, a former consultant at the World Bank for educational development programmes, and Dr Muhammad Khalil Mousa, a teacher and IELTs trainer at the American University in Cairo. Mousa was also chairman of the Nile Tesol Conference for several years.
The forum was also attended by many leaders of the administration, including Nabila Fathi, Director of Services and Educational Activities, Ashraf el-Sheikh, Director of the Preparatory and Secondary Education Department, Dr Shaima el-Baghdadi, Director of private Education, Ibtisam Al-Jabali, Director of Secondary Education, Islah Abdul Latif, Director of Preparatory Education, and Narmin Talaat, Director of Primary Education.
The forum was supervised by Mamdouh Youssef Muhammad, Jamal Luqa Fahim, Jihan Nabawi Jaafar, Muhammad Sayed Ahmed Al-Toukhi, and Amani Abdel Fattah Muhammad.
The forum witnessed active interaction of the attendees in the lectures, which in turn effectively contributed to the transfer of experiences and the enrichment of information.
At the end of the forum, all the leaders were honoured for their constant support for all that is positive and fruitful, as well as the teachers and guides.
The teachers who participated in the top students’ competition for the winning schools were also honoured, to thank them for their effective efforts in the educational process.
