Egypt’s Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Soha Gendi asserted the utmost keenness on providing services for Egyptians living abroad, according to a statement by the Emigration Ministry.
The ministry seeks to launch a fund for solving crises Egyptian expats are facing, she said while receiving Minister of Social Solidarity Nivine Kabbag at the emigration ministry’s HQ in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) Saturday.
The meeting offered an important opportunity for probing a number of files concerning the Egyptian expats, added the statement.
Gendi said the meeting is also aiming to discuss mechanisms for offering more services to Egyptians abroad, including an emergency fund, in addition to coordinating efforts to support training for employment and promoting safe emigration efforts to young people and boosting the participation of Egyptian expats in implementing 2030 sustainable development vision.
She commended cooperation with the Social Solidarity Ministry in this regard.
Kabbag said the ministry is very interested in a number of issues that concern the Egyptian expats, topped by the provision of social protection ways to provide a decent life for them and support them, especially in times of emergency.
