CAIRO – Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Soha Gendi on Monday said the Egyptian-Italian Centre for Jobs and Migration will be launched in Cairo shortly.
The centre is set to toe the line of the Egyptian-German Centre for Jobs, Migration and Reintegration (EGC), Gendi said.
This came during the minister’s participation in a ceremony held to celebrate the 78th Italian National Day, at the invitation of Italian Ambassador to Egypt Michele Quaroni, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs on Monday.
Gendi expressed pleasure over attending the ceremony, highlighting historic relations between Egypt and Italy that have witnessed a quantum leap recently at all levels.
Meanwhile, the Italian ambassador hailed cooperation between Egypt and Italy in various domains as a role model of international relations.
Quaroni further praised the efforts of Emigration Ministry in promoting co-operation between the two countries through reinforcing the role of soft power and exchanging know-how for the benefit of achieving sustainable development.
