Egypt’s Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Soha Gendi asserted the importance of relations binding Egypt and Kuwait as well as coordination between the two countries regarding the conditions of the Egyptian community in Kuwait.
The minister’s remarks were made during her meeting with Kuwaiti Ambassador in Cairo Ghanim Al-Ghanim for talks on enhancing joint cooperation between the two countries along with all issues related to the Egyptian community in Kuwait and challenges facing them.
During the meeting, Gendi said the meeting comes as part of the Egyptian side’s keenness on checking on the conditions of the Egyptian workers in Kuwait and settling all their problems.
The Kuwaiti ambassador, for his part, termed as “sisterly” ties between the two countries, highlighting the great understanding between the two sides regarding the various issues.
He said the Egyptian community in Kuwait is the biggest of its kind and the most distinguished, adding that Kuwait has always been opening the gate for the Egyptian cadres which contributed to enhancing development plans in the country.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed on continuing coordination between the Emigration Ministry and the Kuwaiti Embassy to work out solutions for the requests filed by Egyptians to settle their problems.
