CAIRO – Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Minister Soha Gendy stressed the need of coordinating efforts to overcome the economic crisis, calling for increased cooperation to achieve stability and offer innovative investment opportunities.

Gendy made the remarks during her participation, on behalf of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, in the 25th edition of the conference and exhibition of the Arab Women Investors Union and the Arab Council of Businesswomen that held under the theme of “Arab-African Investment and International Cooperation”.

She emphasized Egypt’s keenness to establish strong economic foundations and offer various facilitations for investors and provide them with ample opportunities in different industrial and agricultural sectors.

The minister made it clear that the Egyptian government focuses on five main pillars to address the economic crisis, including supporting the private sector, strengthening the local industry and increasing exports, outlining a plan to reduce public debt and the budget deficit, revitalizing the Egyptian Stock Exchange and ensuring the provision of main commodities to the domestic market.

Gendy shed the light on the recommendations of the Egyptian Economic Conference 2022 that took place this week in the New Administrative Capital (NAC), during which the present conditions and future of the Egyptian economy were discussed.

She highlighted that Egypt has a promising future in projects related to green energy, sanitation, petrochemicals, transportation, infrastructure and renewable energy.
